When Joe-Michael Robertson was a defensive standout at Samford University, he sacked future Minnesota Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper several times.

But changing careers in his 20s was a more daunting task.

"Early in my professional career, I was faced with a decision to leave a field in which I had spent several hard years of college in a doctoral program," recalled Robertson. "I had a wife and a newborn baby. The new career would be more than a 50% pay cut and had a reputation of long, hard hours. It was definitely my relationship with Jesus Christ that persuaded me to make this move. He was the driving force that made it successful. Looking back, I would have never made that decision...
