Neta Dodd
SPRINGFIELD - A memorial service will be held March 10 for Neta Nadyne Dodd of Springfield, who died Feb. 25 of heart failure. She was 80.
She was born March 1, 1925, in Albany, to John and Nora Dissler Good. She married Donald Loomis. They later divorced. She married Kenneth Dodd. He died previously.
Her interests included dancing, gardening, camping and fishing. She especially enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching the wild turkeys and deer and spending time with her dogs, Mickey and Mindy.
Her family will remember that "her smile would light up a room."
Survivors include two sons, Donald Loomis of Eugene and Richard Loomis of Springfield; a daughter, Marty Henry of Eugene; a brother, Don Good of Eugene; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. A grandson, Richard Loomis, died previously.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. March 10 at Wayside Chapel, Springfield, with private burial at Springfield Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Garry Percell
JUNCTION CITY - A memorial service will be held March 4 for Garry Roger Percell of Junction City, who died Feb. 20 in a logging truck accident. He was 66.
Percell was born June 16, 1939, in Junction City to Wyatt and Luella Dittman Percell. He married Rosalie Upton in 1960 in Martinez, Calif. He married Andrea Allen on Nov. 9, 1979, in Junction City.
He joined the Navy in 1956 and served five years. He worked for Hull-Oakes Lumber Co. for 20 years.
Percell enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching the History Channel and spending time with his family and friends and his pug, Ole. His citizens band radio identity was "Stovetop."
