Republican voters in the 15th Cook County Board district will have a choice March 21 between longtime county board member Carl Hansen of Mount Prospect and Timothy O. Schneider of Bartlett, a business owner and the Hanover Township highway commissioner.

The winner will face Democratic candidate Jim Steven Dasakis of Hoffman Estates.

The 15th district has parts of Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Des Plaines, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Mount Prospect, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg and Streamwood.

The Daily Herald asked Hansen and Schneider nine questions to which they provided written answers. Here is the first installment of the Q&A.
