PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local RABIGH REFINING & PETROCHEMICAL CO. (PETRORABIGH) recently awarded a construction contract for the utilities and offsites associated with a world-scale integrated refining and petrochemical complex at the Red Sea town of Rabigh to a British/Saudi joint venture. The partners in the planned undertaking include UK-based FOSTER WHEELER ENERGY LTD. (FWEL) and the local FOSTER WHEELER ARABIA, both are subsidiaries of FOSTER WHEELER LTD. (FW) of the US.

According to the terms of the award, the partnership will be responsible for the provision of detailed engineering, procurement and management of the construction contractors.
