PROJECT OVERVIEW:

UK-based PETER HAMBRO MINING PLC (PHB) is currently gearing-up to increase the production output of its wholly-owned gold mining operations in Russia's Amur region to over 1 million ounces per year. PHB operates entirely within Russia, and prides itself on being a company with a substantial Russian component to its makeup. This local content, for that matter, may have helped PHB steer clear of the navigational hazards that have afflicted some of the other Western mining companies to venture into Russia.
