PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local GUJARAT ALKALIES & CHEMICALS LTD. (GACL), a Gujarat state-owned company, is currently gearing-up to build 3 new chemical plants at Dahej, India. Construction plans under consideration call for: - Building a calcium chloride plant; - The expansion of a caustic soda facility; - The construction of a poly-aluminium chloride unit.

According to P.K. Taneja, GACL Managing Director, construction works are scheduled to begin immediately on the caustic soda and poly-aluminium projects.

GACL, a state-owned company, is acknowledged to be a leader in the chlor-alkali industry.
