PROJECT OVERVIEW:

A Chinese joint venture was recently established in view of building a new nuclear power complex in Huian City, in East China's Fujian Province. The partners in the planned undertaking include CHINA HUADIAN CORP. (CHD) and CHINA NATIONAL NUCLEAR CORP. (CNNC).

The 2 electricity generation giants yesterday signed a framework agreement for the construction of the new nuclear complex which could sit as many as 6-1,000 Mw reactors.
