Switzerland-based HOLCIM recently acquired a 20% stake in the local GUJARAT AMBUJA CEMENTS LTD. (GACL). As a result, a decision to build 2 new Greenfield cement plants at an estimated total cost of $360,000,000 has now been put on hold.
