Article Excerpt If there is a liniment to ease the sportsman's savage brow and dispel the dog days of summer until the fall hunting seasons arrive, it has to be the annual venue sponsored by the Mississippi Wildlife Federation (MWF). Usually held in Jackson during August in the Trade Mart at the fairgrounds this event brings nearly 35,000 attendees to the show every year.
In fact, this event is the largest single hunting and fishing and outdoor trade show in Mississippi. Talk about an infusion of tourist dollars to the metro area.
The "Ganza," as it is known in local vernacular, is scheduled this year for three days, the 6th, 7th and 8th of August. Melanie Statues, event director for the Mississippi Wildlife Federation, expects this year's event to exceed previous shows.
