Abercrombie & Fitch

After the close last night, Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE:ANF) posted a fourth-quarter profit of $164.6 million, or $1.80 per share, compared to its year-ago profit of $104.3 million, or $1.15 per share. Sales for the three-month period soared 40 percent to $961.4 million while same-store sales climbed 28 percent. The Street had predicted a profit of $1.78 per share on revenue of $947.2 million. Looking ahead, ANF is forecasting per-share earnings for the first half of the year to be in the range of $1.23 to $1.28, including an eight-cent-per-share charge.
