DULUTH, Ga. -- Concurrent (NASDAQ: CCUR), a leading provider of time-critical Linux operating systems for mission-critical applications, today announced that Concurrent's RedHawk(TM) Linux operating system has been selected by Boeing for use in Symtx avionics test equipment used in support of the Boeing Integrated Defense Systems' Air Force C-17 modernization program.

Concurrent's high-performance quad processor COTS-based iHawk systems powered by the RedHawk Linux operating system will be used in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation testing of the C-17's avionics subsystems. Proven reliability and guaranteed response time were important factors that contributed to the overall attractiveness of Concurrent's RedHawk Linux operating system. RedHawk Linux also met the high frame rates required in the HIL simulation without frame overruns.
