The disease, also known as pertussis, has made a comeback in recent years, its numbers sharply rising in Lane County, Oregon and across the country.

Now new vaccines are coming on the market aimed at boosting the immunity of adolescents and adults who last got vaccinated when they were in diapers and are again vulnerable to the disease.
