The bride wore Vera Wang and the groom left his skateboard at home.

Former Eugene resident Lhotse Clover Merriam married Tony Hawk, the world's most famous skateboarder, on Jan. 12 in an intimate sunset ceremony overlooking the ocean on the Fijian island of Tavarua.

"Magical" was how Merriam described the wedding, which drew 80 guests including skateboarder Bam Margera and free-skier Kim Reichhelm.

"We thought it would be the perfect intimate setting (and) not simply about a single day of a wedding but about an entire vacation and people getting together to celebrate a partnership," Merriam said, speaking by phone...
