Four days ago, Mandy Close made the only shot that mattered in Oregon State's two-point win against Oregon in Corvallis, scoring a layup with 3.4 seconds left in the game.

On Saturday, Close, like the rest of the Beavers, struggled to make baskets of any kind.

Oregon State shot a season-low 29 percent from the field, including a 14 percent shooting performance in the first half, as it lost 54-45 to the Ducks at McArthur Court....
