Batavia

- Derek M. DeMatteis, 37, of 219 N. River St., North Aurora, was arrested at 4:18 a.m. Saturday on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in the 0-99 block of Fabyan Parkway, according to police reports. Police said he also was cited on charges of driving with a suspended license and without proof of insurance. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 6.

- Brian S. Laszczak, 26, of 316 Union Ave., Batavia, was arrested at 8:05 a.m. Friday on charges of domestic battery, interfering with the reporting of domestic battery and criminal damage to property at his home, according to police reports. Police said he is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7.

- Someone threw a brick though a glass door at Coach, 306 Commons Drive, and stole several display items at 3:54 a.m. on Sunday, according to a police report.

- Loren Barnes, 38, 1750 Jericho Road, Aurora, was charged with retail theft after taking a $149.99 cell phone out of Best Buy, 1876 S. Randall Road, without paying for it at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to a police report.
