All-star balloting ends soon, so as a service for anyone racked with indecision - fans or coaches - here is a complete list of recommended participants.
The popular argument that someone from Detroit should be in the Eastern Conference's starting lineup, considering the Pistons' 32-5 record, makes sense. Scratch in Chauncey Billups as one starting guard, along with Philadelphia's Allen Iverson. Cleveland's LeBron James is the small forward. At center, Miami's Shaquille O'Neal has little competition.
The final starting spot in the East should go to Toronto power forward Chris Bosh. His credentials may not register with many fans, but his numbers (22.7 points, 9.3 rebounds) make this an easy choice.
In the Western Conference, Phoenix's Steve Nash and the Lakers' Kobe Bryant are automatic picks at guard, while Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki might be having his best season.
