Less than a year ago, the Software and Technology Vendors' Association (SATVA) and SAMHSA explored bringing BH movers and shakers together to discuss the myriad of issues surrounding an electronic health record (EHR) for the BH field. The fruits of that labor culminated at the end of September when 145 invited luminaries, BH and otherwise, converged on Washington, D.C., to tackle the obstacles and give tangible suggestions on how to put this thing together. The six meeting planners realized that a group comprising providers, vendors, trade associations, standard-setting organizations, consumers, and public- and private-sector interests would produce a panoply of diverse and esoteric concerns.
