DANCE MAGAZINE mourns the passing of dance legend Fernando Bujones, who studied at the School of American Ballet, became a superstar at American Ballet Theatre, performed as a guest artist all over the world, and was most recently the artistic director of Orlando Ballet. Mr. Bujones, who won a Dance Magazine Award in 1982, died in November after a brief battle with cancer. He was 50 years old. Here, some of his celebrated partners as well as two young dancers from Orlando Ballet share their memories.

I fell head over heels in love with Fernando when we were students at the School of American Ballet. He could do no wrong in my eyes.
