Youth wrestling tournament: The Churchill Wrestling Club will stage the West Coast Championships this Saturday at the CHS gym. Weigh-ins are from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. with competition beginning at 10. Admission is $1 for spectators and $15 for participants, who also must have a current USA Wrestling card (available at the door for $35). Approximately 600 wrestlers ages 5 to 15 will fill 10 mats in the Peewee through Cadet divisions.

OUSA foot skills academy: Oregon United Soccer Academy is offering winter training on footwork, technical ball work, touch and ball control in a fun environment. Sessions are age specific for U8-U10 boys and girls, U11-U14 girls and U11-14 boys. Registration is open for all ages. Soccer skills: Eugene Metro Futbol Club, the area's newest soccer club, is offering several foot skills clinics for youth. Sessions this week for ages 10-13 are Wednesday, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Kick City. The cost is $10. All instructors are experienced professionals. Track officials training: A Level I training clinic to certify new track and field officials will be offered Saturday on the second floor of the Bowerman Building, at Hayward Field. The clinic will last from 9 a.m. until noon and, following a lunch break, the certification (and recertification of experienced officials) will take place from 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. The clinic costs $30 and will include a training manual and USATF rule book. Springfield AYSO: Open registration for spring soccer in Springfield's AYSO Region 93 lasts through Feb. 3. Sign up Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Glenwood Foreign Auto Parts, 86751 Hwy 99 South in Goshen. The cost is $40 and scholarships (with Oregon Trail card or WIC card) are available. Little League: Online registration for baseball and softball is now available for both West Emerald Valley Little League and Emerald Valley Little League East at eteamz.active.com/emerald valley. In addition, the West league will hold registration sessions on Jan. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Prairie Mountain School; on Feb. 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Madison Middle School; and on Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kennedy Middle School. VALCO golf: Men 50-and-older may register now through mid-March for the Valley Coast Senior Golf Club. The organization, beginning its ninth season, holds seven one-day Monday tournaments from April 3 through Sept. 25 throughout southwest Oregon. Dues are $25 per year in addition to event entry fees.
