The last thing in the world Oregon wants to be described as is the Pac-10's hot team, because look what happened to the teams that previously this season seemed to be getting on a roll.

Washington went from unbeaten in nonleague games to 1-2 in the Pac-10 with two home losses, before bouncing back this weekend. Arizona turned itself into the front-runner by winning in Seattle, then lost at home to UCLA before being swept in the Willamette Valley.

California opened up with that sweep of Los Angeles and reached 3-0 before losing its last two. UCLA has that notable win over the Wildcats in Tucson, but that's more than balanced by two home defeats.
