When Fred Callon is mulling a major decision, his stall knows it. From down the hall, they can hear him drumming his fingers on the desk. "He's always pounding out his favorite cadences," said Callon Petroleum public relations manager Terry Trovato. "He's still a drummer at heart."
A native of Vicksburg, Callon grew up in a close-knit family in Natchez, the younger of two sons born to Sire, a Callon Petroleum executive, and Vera, his homemaker wife. During the 1960s, Callon was a drummer in The Rude Awakening Show Band, a local favorite rock and roll band.
