There is the record, a split of a dozen nonleague games. There are the other numbers, statistics that detail the misfortunes of Oregon in the past month.

And then there are the Ducks, who still believe in themselves, and what they can accomplish this season.

`I think we're a team that once we gain some momentum, we're going to be a tough team to beat,' UO senior Brandon Lincoln said.

There will be no better time than today for the Ducks to reverse their slide of the previous 31 days as they open their Pac-10 schedule with a 1 p.m. matchup with Oregon State in McArthur Court, the 324th time the Civil War rivals have played in men's basketball.
