PONTIAC - There was a little bit of everything in the championship game of the Pontiac Holiday Tournament.

In the end, however, a valiant Warren comeback against perennial power Simeon fell inches short.

Warren had a pair of opportunities in the final seconds - a 3- point attempt by Logan Derrick and a Ceola Clark mid-air putback - but both narrowly missed as Simeon held on for a 67-65 victory Friday night.

The Warren season-opening winning streak was snapped at 10 games; Simeon improved to 9-2.

"I thought it was a good shot," said Warren coach Chuck Ramsey, of the Derrick 3-pointer. "It was right there."
