Incidentally, PCI has about ten other full-text music titles; these are standard fare, appearing in several other electronic journal aggregators. In addition, PCI indexes 119 scholarly music periodicals from inception through the early to mid-1990s. Many entries pre-date RILM and Music Index Online (e.g., Yearbook for Traditional Music, 1949-95) and many do not appear in JSTOR; unfortunately, as with IIMP, they lack subject headings. Comparing PCI to ProQuest's IIMP (which indexes about ninety titles back to inception), IIMP clearly has more comprehensive indexing for recent (post-1990s) literature, plus more "standard" titles going back to inception. Still, PCI indexes many additional scholarly music titles back to inception that do not appear in IIMP or are only covered from the 1990s forward. Examples include African Music (1948-99), Etudes gregoriennes (1954-92), Musikforschung (1948-95), and Neues Beethoven-Jahrbuch (1924-42).
