PITTSBURGH -- Stelco Inc. Monday was granted another extension of its stay in bankruptcy protection after creditors voted to approve a restructuring plan that the Canadian steelmaker says will help lead it back onto more solid financial footing in 2006. The extension runs to Jan. 31.

Stelco's third amended plan was approved Friday by 78.4 percent of the affected creditors who voted in person or by proxy, representing 87.7 percent of the total value of affected claims....
