Article Excerpt The quarterly French music theory journal Analyse Musicale (ISSN 0295-3722), published under the auspices of the Societe francaise d'analyse musicale, started with number 1 (November 1985) and suspended publication after number 32 (July 1993), then produced about twenty more issues from numbers 33 (November 1998) through 51 (September 2004). The publication has suspended operations again, but may re-emerge at a later date. As of 15 September 2004, available back issues included numbers 13 through 51 (excluding 14, 15, and 21); Actes [1.sup.er] CEAM (Congres europeens d'analyse musicale); reprints of numbers 2, 6, 12, 34, and 50; and three compilations (Analyses appliques: Liszt-Bartok-Ligeti; Stravinsky-Messiaen; and La Musique du Moyen-Age Xe-XVe). As of 2005, Ars Lyrica, a peer-reviewed, annual (irregular) journal from the Lyrica Society for Word-Music Relations, will be published semiannually, with the first issue devoted to a specific region, context or ideology: Ars Lyrica Celtica (2005); Ars Lyrica Nordica (2006), Ars Lyrica Hebraica (2007), and Ars Lyrica Slavonica (2008). The society hopes to increase to three annual issues by 2007 and four by 2010....
