HONG KONG, Dec. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Grand Toys International Limited today announced the appointment of Jeff Hsieh Cheng as Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Mr. Hsieh was also appointed to the Grand Toys Board of Directors. Grand Toys also announced the appointment of Elliot L. Bier to the position of Chairman of the Board and announced the appointment of Jack W. Flader, Jr. to be a third independent member of the Board. The changes were made in anticipation of Grand Toys' pending acquisition of Hua Yang Printing Holdings Co. Ltd. and Kord Holdings, Inc.

Mr. Hsieh, 56, the beneficial owner of a majority of Grand's ADSs, has over twenty-five years of experience in the toy and toy-related business and is the owner of and driving force behind Toy Biz Worldwide Limited, the company that currently holds the Marvel toy license.
