Suncor Energy Products Inc. and ACCIONA Energia, through its wholly owned subsidiary EHN Wind Power Canada Inc., have been selected by the Ontario government to build a 76-megawatt wind power project near Ripley, Ontario.

The Ripley Wind Power Project will include construction of 38 wind turbines east of Lake Huron in Huron-Kinloss Township. The project is expected to have the capacity to generate enough zero-emission electricity to power 22,000 homes and offset approximately 66,000 tons of carbon dioxide annually. Project cost is estimated at approximately $165 million.
