BEACHWOOD, Ohio, Dec. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aleris International, Inc. announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Alumitech, Inc., an aluminum recycling operation, headquartered in Cleveland, OH, from Zemex Corporation. Closing is expected to occur prior to December 31, 2005.
Steve Demetriou, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aleris International, Inc., stated, "The acquisition of Alumitech is an excellent strategic fit with Aleris's existing recycling operations.
