Alan Zelenka, a manager for the Emerald People's Utility District, on Tuesday announced that he will run for the southeast seat on the Eugene City Council.

Zelenka, a 17-year resident of Ward 3, will seek the post now held by David Kelly, a two-term councilor who won't run for re-election next year.

"I am a big-picture person, and I recognize that the decisions we make today will affect jobs, our quality of life and our environment for generations to come," Zelenka said...
