SPRINGFIELD - Ribbon of Promise founder Dennis Murphy intends to keep the promise of ending school violence, but believes it can be done without an office.

And without a board of directors, staff or anything else that costs money that can't be recouped.

With the board's approval, the seven-year-old organization founded the day after the Thurston High School shootings will file its articles of dissolution sometime in the next couple of weeks.
