From the kitchens of Italy, New York and Chicago, 38-year-old Massimo Salatino has amassed two decades of experience in the restaurant business.
A native Italian, Salatino studied cooking at Scuola Alberghiera di Stresa, Lago Maggiore. In Chicago, he was executive chef at Vivo for seven years and sous chef at one sixtyblue. In 1999, he became corporate chef for Francesca Restaurant Group.
His rustic, northern Italian cooking focuses on a few, fresh ingredients, simply prepared. He and his wife, Holly, live near Wheaton and have two children.
