A subsidiary of Shelton-based R.D. Scinto Inc. recently sold one of the few class A office buildings in Bridgeport, 1000 Lafayette Blvd., to an entity owned by Hampshire Partners Fund VI L.P. for $22.5 million, brokers said.

A company called 1000 Lafayette Boulevard L.L.C. sold the building to Bridgeport Lafayette 2005 L.L.C. for roughly $105 per foot.

The 214,444-square-foot, 11-story class A office building is near Interstate 95 and Routes 8/25 and is within walking distance of the intermodal transportation center, the Probate Court House, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court House, the U.S. Circuit and U.S. District Court Houses and the Post Office.

At the time of sale, 1000 Lafayette Boulevard was 100 percent leased to a tenant roster that includes People's Bank (139,139 square feet), Zeldes, Needle & Cooper, P.C. (22,916 square feet), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (13,034 square feet), and the Drug Enforcement Agency (9,930 square feet).
