DUPONT TO INVEST US$1 BLN IN CHINA'S SHANDONG
JINAN - US giant Dupont will invest US$1 billion to build a world-class titanium dioxide factory in Dongying City in east China's Shandong Province, the city government confirmed on Wednesday. The project will be Dupont's biggest in China, company sources said. The planned facility will start operation in 2010, producing 200,000 tons of titanium dioxide annually. Dupont has also announced investment plans in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Changshu cities, which will help double the company's investment in China by 2010.
