CORVALLIS - When it's not your day, it's not your day.

And on this showery, mostly overcast Saturday, it wasn't Oregon State's day. And it sure wasn't Matt Moore's, either.

Oh, the OSU numbers suggested otherwise. Total yards: 654, the most for a single game in more than a decade. First downs: 31, one shy of a school record. All but total domination offensively. Even 27 points.

And still it came down to one play. One of many plays that didn't go Oregon State's way, but the one that sealed Arizona's 29-27 dagger in the Beavers' collective football heart.

Down two points, threatened by a shrinking clock and haunted by turnovers, the Beavers had scored on their previous two possessions and figured they could do it one more time.
