Labor board plans first public hearing

The new Lane County Workers' Rights Board will hold its first public hearing on working conditions for DHL subcontracted delivery drivers at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Eugene Public Library, 100 W. 10th Ave.

The board is made up of community leaders committed to protecting the rights of workers. The board was brought together by the Eugene/Springfield Solidarity Network/Jobs with Justice and will advocate for fair resolutions of labor matters. For more information, call 736-9041.

Public hearings focus on public safety

Two public hearings on Lane County public safety will take place Tuesday at Lane Community College, 4000 E. 30th Ave., Eugene.

Hearings will be held at 1:30 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. in Room 104, Building 19....
