A Carpentersville mother is scheduled to stand trial early next year on a charge that she fractured her infant son's skull two years ago, authorities said.

Jessica B. Wisinski, 25, has pleaded innocent to aggravated battery to a child. Police have said Wisinski threw her then-11- week-old son into his crib, where he likely hit his head against the railing.

Wisinski is scheduled to face a jury trial Jan. 30 before Kane County Judge Timothy Sheldon. The trial date was set Thursday, Assistant State's Attorney Christine Bayer said.

On Oct. 22, 2003, Wisinski was arrested after her son was treated at Sherman Hospital in Elgin and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge for a skull fracture, brain injuries and bruises.
