The local QATAR PETROLEUM (QP). is soon expected to award a construction contract to an American/South Korean joint venture for downstream units known as Q-Chem II to be sited at Mesaieed, Qatar. The partners in the planned undertaking include US-based ABB LUMMUS GLOBAL and DAELIM INDUSTRIAL CO. of South Korea.
