L.I. developer eyes $7m fix for Greenburgh apartments.

A Long Island developer has agreed to keep rents at the 192-unit Fairview Apartments complex in Greenburgh at "affordable" levels in return for at least $449,000 in tax breaks from Westchester County.

Marathon Development Group Ltd. of Manhasset said the tax breaks will make possible a $7 million renovation of the three-building apartment complex, which consists of 90 and 100 Manhattan Ave., as well as 33 Oak St. The renovation will consist of a new roof and new internal systems, as well as new kitchens and bathrooms.
