Call it a double dose of up-and-coming indie rock.

The National and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, along with special guests the Nervous Return, will hit the WOW Hall on Tuesday.

The National are touring in support of its third album - and first on the Beggar's Banquet label - "Alligator." These five pals from Cincinnati have generated much positive buzz.

Entertainment Weekly gave "Alligator" an A-, saying, "It doesn't make for the most up-with-people experience, but the twilit melodies and Matt Bersinger's gossamer vocals will haunt your troubled dreams.'

Add in good notices from Rolling Stone, Nylon, Spin, Harp and Gotham magazines, and you have a band on the upside.

Speaking of upside, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the Brooklyn quintet drew a lot of attention recently at CMJ's 25th annual Music Marathon.

EW singled out the band in its `what we liked at CMJ' roundup: `Clap Your Hands Say Yeah echoed Talking Heads recovering from a hangover with their gentle acoustic strums and nasal croon.' And Rolling Stone tagged the group as its Hot Indie band for 2005.
