Former Larkin volleyball star Megan Sprangers is enjoying a solid season as a member of the Northern Illinois University women's volleyball team.

Sprangers, a 2002 Larkin alum, was recently ranked second in the Mid-American Conference in aces per game. Through NIU's first 16 matches, Sprangers was averaging team-bests in aces per game (0.49) and total aces (29). She was also second in digs per game (2.25) and total digs (133).

At the recent Bradley Invitational in Peoria, Sprangers ran off a string of 12 points, including 3 aces to help NIU win the tournament title. NIU was 8-8 to start the week.
