ACQUISITIONS

Heatbath Corp., a Detroit-based manufacturer and marketer of advanced electroplating and metal finishing products, has announced the purchase of certain assets of Chemtech Finishing Systems, Warren, which is best known for its Chemshield electroless nickel, and dymaxion and synergy nickel systems.

Arcadia Resources Inc., Southfield, has acquired the Fort Myers, Fla., operations of home health care agency Alternative Home Health Care of Lee County Inc. Alternative Home Health Care will retain ownership and operations of its office in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Arcadia Resources plans to operate Alternative Home Care under the brand name Arcadia Health Care.

CONTRACTS

Qualitech, Bingham Farms, was selected by Symthe Property Advisors, a Cleveland property-management firm, to provide and install the Skyline Property Management System.

Jarratt Architecture, South Lyon, has been awarded the contract for architectural and engineering services for the new 40-story, 451-room Hotel Solis in downtown Chicago. The project includes additions and renovations to what is currently the Hotel 71. The estimated cost of construction is $20 million.

Q Ltd., Ann Arbor, was selected by private facility-management company SMB to create three Web sites for its Grand Rapids venues: Van Andel Arena, DeVos Place and DeVos Performance Hall. The sites are: www.vanandelarena.com, www.devos place.org and www.devosperformance hall.org.

Western Creative Inc., Redford Township, has signed Great Hair of Boca Raton, Fla., to an agency-of-record agreement.
