Many of us cruise aficionados are, of course, ocean-and-flesh-air buffs as well--we cherish every moment spent out on the open decks. During the daytime, some of our favorite pastimes are scanning the horizon with binoculars in search of sea life, pool and deck games, and sail-away parties.
When the sun sets, we still hunger for the outdoors. Many evenings after dinner, particularly during warm-water cruising, the ship's lavish production shows do not lure us as much as a leisurely stroll on the outer decks with their panoramas of dramatic, inky-black waters. I, for one, am quite content with just Mother Nature entertaining me with a spot of stars and a slice of moon.
