CORVALLIS - He strolled into the media frenzy on Tuesday, tall, dark, handsome and one trip to the Polo store from a GQ cover.

Matt Moore's time is now.

Peering over his sunglasses, a smile on his face and his dark hair still with the frosting, he is just three days away from becoming Oregon State's first new quarterback in 38 football games.

Moore, as they say, is now the man.

"After I was named the starter," he said, "the guys looked to me to see how I would react. I got nothing but positive feedback. The guys accepted me, the coaches trust me and I am someone who will rally these guys to have a good season."
