We thought we'd take this opportunity to look back over the past 25 years of Computers in Libraries magazine's history. Stroll with us down memory lane, enjoying the cover scenery and the commentary from CIL staffers, past and present. We've come a long way, baby!

* My favorite CIL memories are reading Michael Schuyler's columns. I always turned to them first thing upon receiving a new issue. They were always interesting, always thought-provoking, and a pleasure to read. I miss them. BUT, Michael still owes me a dinner for failing to understand as early as I did just how pervasive Windows would become in the Intel-based computing environment.

* My favorite article was "Spelling and Typographical Errors in Library Databases" by Terry Ballard. It was published in the June 1992 issue and won the 1992 Article of the Year award from Meckler. The paper was a perfect example of what CIL was designed to do--provide information and ideas that its readers could put to work.
