I read with interest your Feb. 16 editorial regarding Macomb County's lack of an appointed administrator or elected executive ("Macomb government must change with times'').

You try to make the case that Macomb County lacks respect due to its "archaic structure.'' I would argue that if it isn't broken, we ought not try to fix it.
