About 170 part-time temporary workers will lose their jobs at the Stream software call center in downtown Eugene in addition to the cutting of 206 full-time workers announced Wednesday, a company official said Thursday.

The company on Wednesday gave the full-time employees notice that their jobs could end as soon as Aug. 23, because Stream lost its contract to provide technical support to customers of software giant Symantec Corp., said Kim McCann, a spokeswoman for Texas-based Stream.
