As a pediatrician and father of four, I applaud the governor's signing a law prohibiting the sale or rental of violent or sexually explicit video games to minors.

Since the introduction of electronic gaming and the proliferation of other multimedia recreation, our children have increasingly spent their leisure time pursuing activities in front of monitors and television screens.
