Families with children younger than 8 might have encountered a problem when looking for an escorted coach tour for the entire family. A lot of companies don't allow children younger than 8 (some have a minimum age of 10) on an escorted coach tour.

However, there are a few tour providers with a minimum age of 5: Trafalgar Tours (www.trafalgar.com, (866) 544-4434); Insight Vacations (www.insightvacations.com, (888) 680-1241); and Collette Vacations (www.collettetours.com, (800) 340-5158).

If none of these companies offers a tour to your liking, try searching the United States Tour Operators Association (www.ustoa.com) or the American Society of Travel Agents (www.astanet.com) for family-oriented vacations.
