A Document Assembly System (DAS) lets a user build a model document which can be populated with variable information reflecting the particular document that you are attempting to produce. HotDocs is a very powerful system that has only gotten better since it was first introduced many years ago. But most lawyers don't want to go to the bother of building the model forms but really want to buy the forms, all set for a good DAS.

HotDocs Professional, Version 6.0 installed from a CD-ROM. The only initial option was tell the program whether you wished to use HotDocs with Microsoft Word 2002, or WordPerfect 8 or 9, the word processors that I happened to have on my computer. The current version of the program, however is 6.1, and that program also saw WordPerfect 11, and was able to install for that word processor. (Installation...
